Udupi: The prime accused in the murder of Bhoja Shetty and Suresh Shetty of Hebri near Karkala was produced before the District Sessions Court here on Monday, August 21, 2017, which reserved the hearing for November 15, 2017.

The main accursed Veeramani alias Chennapillai, who was brought to Udupi from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu on body warrant by the Hebri Police pleaded not guilty before the Sessions Judge and requested the Sessions judge for bail.

Other accused-Niluguli Padmanabh alias Paddanna and Ramesh were not produced before the Court today. Padmanabh who is in Chikkamagaluru had to appear before the Sringeri Court for hearing. Ramesh is lodged in Bengaluru jail.

However, Veeramani created chaos outside the court by shouting out slogans like “Maoism Zinadabad”, “no question of surrender” etc.
