Bhasker Shetty murder case: Probe team retrieves bones from river

Udupi: As a major development in the Bhasker Shetty murder case, some traces of bones have been found and recovered from a river at Kalyar, Nandalike.

Bhasker Shetty murder case: Bunt community unite to fight for victim-1It is said that the police had lifted the bags from the river in which they found mainly the debris of the ‘Homa Kunda’ (sacred fire place) and mixed in the debris were some pieces of bones, which have been forwarded for forensic tests as it cannot be confirmed right away that these could be human bones.

Since the accused had time and again said that the body was burnt in a ‘homa kunda’ the police dismantled the same only to find that it was a wasteful exercise. Later the police had even collected the mud inside the kunda and forwarded the mud for forensic analysis.

However, investigating officer has refused to comment on the same.
