Udupi: A JMFC court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of all the five accused persons in the Bhasker Shetty murder case till September 19.
Navaneet Shetty and Niranjan Bhat who were lodged at Hiriadka jail will be shifted to Mangaluru District prison after the court gave permission for the same. Prime accused Rajeshwari is presently at Mangaluru District prison.
Srinivasa Bhat and Raghavendra, who are accused of destroying evidence, will continue their stay at Hiriadka jail.
Non-resident entrepreneur and owner of Hotel Durga International, Bhaskar Shetty went missing on July 28 from Udupi. Soon, his wife Rajeshwari and son Navaneeth were arrested by the police on charges of charring Shetty to death after collaborating with a young astrologer named Niranjan Bhat.
