Udupi: The officials of the Department of Labour, Revenue, District Child Labour Society, Education Department and Police Department, raided the rented apartment of one Irshad Ali at Manipal on Friday July 18 an succeeded in rescuing a  child  domestic help in the house.

The rescued  girl is 11 year old Naseera (name changed) hailing from  Bihar. She has been entrusted to the custody of the Child Welfare Committee.

The raiding team included Guruprasad, Udupi Tahsildar, R Ravikumar, Jeevan Kumar, Labour Inspectors,  Prabhaker Acharya,  Project Director, District Child Labour Society, Nagesh Shanbhag, BEO, Madhukar, Taluk Physical Education Officer,  Pushpalatha,  Officer of Child Rescue Unit of Udupi District and other police personnel.
