Bantwal: Villagers of Pudu including local autorickshaw drivers on  Friday July 18 took the initiative of repairing the Kumdelu-Kabela-Kapikad-Nettarakere Road  in the panchayat limits which was in a bad shape since long and was umotorable during monsoon.

The residents decided to repair the road on their own after their repeated pleas to the local panchayat failed to yield any result. On Friday they closed the potholes on the road using jelly stones and  repaired the road temporarily.

Several locals including  Kishore Kumdelu, Neelan Pelapady, Somanath Kumdelu, Praveen Pelapadi, Keerthan Pelapady, Rakesh Kabela and others participated in the Shramadan.
