Udupi: The people of the temple town can now watch newly released Konkani movie ‘Ek Aslyar Ek Na’ in Ashirwad theatre after the inauguration of the movie on Friday, September 16.
The inaugural ceremony of the function was done when Jerry Vincent Dias, Builder Association President of Udupi District. Rev. Fr. Francis Carnelio gave his blessings to all the audience gathered there.

Jerry Vincent Dias said that the producer, Frank Fernandes is not producing the film for profit but to entertain people. “There are so many people who have worked day and night to make this dream come true. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. I request the people here to spread the news of the movie through word of mouth so that more people come to watch it”, he added.

Frank Fernandes, a Mangalurean businessman who runs a shipping company is also the producer of the film. “I have had this dream for a long time, people should support Konkani films to promote Konkani as a language”, he said.

The movie will run at Ashirwad theatre four times a day. Show timings are 10.00 AM, 1.00 PM, 4.00 PM and 7.00 PM. The movie has also been released at INOX theatre, Manipal.

The movie cast and crew includes director and lead actor Pradeep Barboza and lead female actress Priya Menezes. The movie has also been released in many theatres all over the world.
