Mangalore: The monthly KDP meeting was held at Zilla Panchayat under the leadership of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat President Koragappa Naik on Monday February 24.

Addressing  the meeting, he  said  the Gram Panchayats which do not make use of the three percent funds meant for the welfare of handicapped will face action. He also warned against taluk panchayats which give  false statistics to the ZP on utilising funds for the handicapped.

Naik further  said that several Gram Panchayats including Narimogru, Uppinangadi, Panaje, Shiradi and Koila  have not utilised government grants since 2009.
