Mangalore : A youth who worked for a recreation club near Jyothi in Mangalore was found murdered near the railway bridge at Morgansgate on August 5, Monday night.
The deceased youth has been identified as Vikranth Shetty (27). According to sources, Vikranth was attacked with lethal weapons by a group of assailants which came by a car and a bike near the railway bridge when he was on way home after closing the recreation club. The murder is learnt to have taken place at around 11 pm. The assailants attacked Vikranth with lethal weapons leaving him dead.
Initially it was thought to be a case of accident, but later the police who arrived realized that it was a murder. The motive behind the brutal murder is not yet known. However, police suspect some rivalry to be the reason for the murder.
Pandeshwar police are investigating the case.
