Youth from Nandavar killed in Saudi road mishap

Bantwal : A youth hailing from Nandavara near Panemangalore  met a tragic end in a road mishap at Saudi Arabia.

The deceased youth is  Mohammad Irshad (23), son of Abdul Hameed, a resident of near Nandavara School. Irshad who  had left in a goods carrier   vehicle on August 5 as part of his duty, had been missing since then. His mobile too was switched off . The family could not even contact the company for which he was working as it was closed for Ramzan. Finally  when the company re-opened last Monday after Ramzan,  there was information that  there had been an accident wherein two vehicles collided head on killing drivers of both the vehicles.

The deceased Irshad  was the eldest of the four sons of Abdul Hameed who too had worked in Gulf but is presently  back in home town due to ill-health. Irshad had left overseas three and  a half years ago and was working as a driver at Jeddah since one and a half years.  He, it is learnt, was also planning to return hometown next month to attend the  wedding of a close relative.

Family sources said arrangements are being made to bring the body to hometown.
