Moodbidri: A native of Moodbidri died in Bangalore after he was electrocuted here on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Prashanth Acharya (29) a resident of Kayargundu in Putige village in Moodbidri.

He was working as an assistant archak in Bangalore’s Kalikamba temple in Ramamurthy Nagar. He learnt the vedas in Moodbidri Gurumutt Kalikamba temple, and had only last week, joined as archak in Bangalore.
On monday, due to heavy rain in the city, many electric wires had fallen on the road. The Incident took place when Prashanth went to dry his clothes after taking bath. He did not notice the fallen wire and came in contact with the live wire. He went into an electric shock and died.
The incident came to light, when one of the temple auhtorities came to the temple.
The body was sent for post-mortem and thereafter it was taken home.
The deceased is unmarried and survived by his mother.
