Kasargod: Manjeshwar police arrested five persons in connection with theft cases that took place recently.

Abdul Gafur(20) from Baikatte in Paivalike, Zakariya(22) from Pollorody, Naufal(22) from Baikatte, Pradeep Monteiro(19) from Kalai and a juvelile from Pollorody were arrested.

It is learnt that they were involved in more than 10 theft cases in the area. They were caught while allegedly trying to burgle a house which was under construction.

One car and other stolen items have been recovered from the thieves.

They had plans to loot newly built houses. Police are further interrogating the arrested.
