Mangalore: In a dreadful incident a youth lost his life after he fell from the foot-board of a bus near Konaje on Tuesday, December 17.

The deceased, 19-year-old, Mohammad Jafar alias Haneef hailed from Bakimar in Manjeshwar Varkady. It is learnt, Mohammad who was travelling on the foot-board of the bus proceeding to Mudipu from Manjanady, lost balance and fell off the bus which was passing through a curve at DG Katte. The rear tyre of the bus ran over him killing him on the spot.

The deceased was a salesman at a textile shop at Uppala. The bus driver Charlie Crasta has been booked for rash driving.
