Kasargod: A person was arrested on the charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl.

The accused, identified as K S Manoj Kumar (24), is a resident of Shantipalla near Kumble.

Kumar, a JCB mechanic by profession, had abducted the girl from Cherkala and sexually assaulted her in 2014.

Vidyanagar police have registered a case in this regard.
