Mangalore: In the illegal money transactions case against Ayesha Banu and her husband Jubair from their Panjimogaru, the Bihar police have yet again made two arrests from Mangalore itself on Saturday November 23.
The two arrested are, named Mohammad Asif (24) a resident of Amblamogaru Madaka and a BBM student of Kanachur College along with Mustaq (45) of Sooralpady, who was a building contractor and owner of a chicken stall. He is married and has three children and is suspected to be into the Hawala racket by his relatives.
Both have received a transit warrants, the court had issued a transit warrant for Asif when he was produced before court on November 23, Saturday, the second accused too got a transit warrant on November 24, Sunday after he was produced before the judge’s residence.
Earlier the Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra told media, “The Mangalore couple has given several names who were beneficiaries of the funds transferred. We are still verifying them and cannot disclose names at this stage of investigation.”
The disclosure done to a joint team of Bihar’s Lakhisarai and Jamui police who is working on the case and interrogated the couple may have led to these arrests.
