Belthangadi: A youth employed abroad died in a road accident on January 1. The accident took place when Sarafuddin was riding his bike which collided with a jeep near Gerukatte Korenja.

Sarafuddin was aged 26, and was the son of Abubakkar, resident of Biliyuru near Perne is the deceased.

Biker was proceeding to Uppinangadi on Sunday afternoon when the incident happened. Injured Sarafuddin was rushed to the hospital soon after the accident but efforts to rescue him went in vain.

Sarafuddin had returned from abroad two days ago. Belthangadi police visited the accident spot and are investigating further.
