Bengaluru: Three persons were arrested and a juvenile was detained by the police when they were planning to rob motorists on the service road near Nagarabhavi in the wee hours of Sunday.The police said two of the gang members are absconding. While the accused – Jnanadeva (20), Yeshwanth (19) and Yogesh (18) – were remanded, the 16-year-old juvenile has been sent to the State-run boys’ remand home.

The police sources said that the gang, on two-wheelers and carrying weapons, were trying to waylay passersby who were returning after attending New Year parties in Chandra Layout.

Acting on a tip-off, the police chased the gang and nabbed the four.
