On Sunday, two kids in Bantwal perished in the Netravati River. At Neerakatte in Bantwal taluk, they were having fun in the water when the event happened.
The deceased, according to the police, are Ashura, 10, of Konaje, and Mariyam Nafiya, 14, of Ullal. They had visited the Maindala, close to Navur, home of their relatives.
When the incident happened, the kids and family members had gone to the river to play.
Police in Bantwal Rural have begun their inquiry.
