Mangaluru: A young man plying on a two wheeler, lost his life in a tragic accident when a lorry ran him over near Pumpwell on the morning of April 29.

The youth has been identified as 26-year-old Akshay S, a member of the dance group “Aryans” and son of Vishwanath from Kumpala.

The incident occurred when the lorry rammed into Akshay’s scooter, as it was making its way towards Mangaluru. The driver of the lorry fled soon after the accident.

It has been gathered that Akshay was on his way to a dance programme when he met his end.

The locals have credited the blame to the snail’s pace of the flyover work that has been the reason of numerous accidents in the locality.
