Mangalore: Today afternoon a couple was found in un-co nscious state on the railway tracks near Old Cant.
In the morning at 5:30 am the driver of Maveli express that arrives to Mangalore station noticed two young couple trying to commit suicide. He later informed the sation master about the incident .
With this lead provided the railway police , along with Pandeshwara police and the driver Gangadhar went in wide search of this couple . They had searched for about 2hrs, but only in the afternoon it was learnt that the couple was found in an un-conscious and in critical state on the railway tracks near Karuna lodge at Old Kent road.
The boy is said to be 24 yrs old and the girl 19 yrs old. They had tried to commit suicide by strangling each others neck. They where found embraced in each others arms.
They are now admitted to Wenlock Hospital and are said to be in critical condition.It is learnt that the couple hails from Chennai.
