Kasargod :  A tragic road mishap reported from BC Road at Kayyar near here on August 1, Thursday, claimed the life of  a young bike rider, while leaving the  pillion rider with serious injuries.

The deceased is Leo D’Souza (23), son of Antony and Celine D’Souza, residents of Vijayanagara near Kayyar. The mishap took place when Leo along with his friend Mustafa (25) was returning to Bandyodu from Kayyar. A speeding tipper knocked down their bike throwing both off guard.If Leo was declared brought dead to the hospital, Mustafa has been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.

The deceased Leo was doing fabrication works at Pachambala in Bandyodu.

Kumble police have registered a case.
