Kasargod: Sudhir Kumar Shetty, President of UAE Exchange was conferred with ‘Huttooru Prashasti’, in a glittering ceremony held at his home town
Yenmakaje in Manjeshwar here on Sunday, February 28.
Sudhir Shetty was welcomed to the stage in a lavish procession.
After being honoured with the award, Sudhir Kumar Shetty addressed the gathering and said that with the blessings of his parents, teachers, locals close to him and Almighty he could reach the place where he is today. He added that as he was born in a poor family, he could understand the problems of needy and it was his duty to reach out to those who were in need.
Sri Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji of Kondevoor Math appreciating the service of Shetty said, “The society always respects and honours people with pure hearts. Sudhir Kumar is one of such human beings in our society. A person reaches his peak when he makes good use of his wealth through charity. Virtues of Sudhir Kumar must be emulated by all. He has made use of his position for the betterment of society,” he said.
