Mangaluru girl bags first prize in national level stamp design contest

Bantwal: U Mangala Nayak, II year student from Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadvu has won 1st prize in national level postal stamp design contest on the theme ‘Vibrant India’.
The Competition was organized by Ministry of Communication & IT, Department of Posts for a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of Republic Day, 2016, for the selection of design for stamp.

As many as 5000 entries were received for the competition. Mangala Nayak’s design bagged first prize along with a Cash Prize of Rs 10000.

Mangala Nayak, a young budding artist who has bagged several rewards in painting competition is the proud daughter of U.Gopinath Nayak & Anitha Nayak, residents of Car Street Mangaluru.
