Mangaluru: The kindergarten section of The Yenepoya School celebrated Graduation Day and their Annual Day on 18th of March, Wednesday at the state-of- art auditorium Yendurance zone within the Yenepoya University premises, Derlakatte.
The Chief Guest for the day was Dr Malini Hebbar, Associate Professor, Department of English, St. Agnes College.
The Program was presided over by Mr. Mohammed Kunhi, Chairman, Yenepoya Group. Principal, Dr C.K. Manjunath shared the dais with them. Program Leader, Mrs. Reshma Nayak Sujir welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report.
The graduation program started with a dazzling welcome by the young graduates themselves. This was followed by them receiving scrolls in honor for their achievement and milestones.
Several students spoke of their memorable experiences in the Kindergarten section. Parents Dr Rashmi Alva and Dr Ashwini Shetty explained how they had zeroed in on their choice of the Yenepoya kindergarten and their levels of satisfaction with the school.
The Chief Guest, Dr Malini Hebbar stressed on the uniqueness of the program and the innovativeness she had noticed in the entire program. She also expressed her happiness at attending such a program for young children.
The theme for the annual day program was ‘Cinemascope’. The children provided nostalgic performances of hit songs from the actors of yesteryears like Raj Kapoor, Jeetendra, Sri Devi, Amitabh, Mithun. The audience was delighted to also see scenes from famous classics like Sholay and Don . They applauded as the children unrolled one song after another with beautiful costumes depicting the retros.
The best part about the program was that every child from the kindergarten participated in the program and faced the audience with confidence devoid of any stage fear.
Almost 200 children participated in this program with full enthusiasm and grace.
The children ended the program with a thoughtful message about life “Life is full of laughter and tears, Enjoy Every Moment”.
