Mangaluru: A youth pursing dentistry met watery grave on August 27, after he ventured into a deep lake beside a stream in the company of friends.

Dennis Babu, a resident of Kerala who had just finished his final year exams few days ago is the deceased. He was doing his internship at the Yenepoya Medical college here.

It is gathered that Dennis Babu accompanied by few of his friends including girls had gone to Kerala estate in Sajipamunnur village limits, owned by one of their relatives to spend his holidays. The Kerala estate, a holiday spot is located on the banks of Ambadebail stream near Manjapade.

There is a lake by the side of the river and the medicos ventured into the danger zone without realising the actual depth. Unfortunately, Dennis Babu, slippped and got trapped in the sludge at the lake causing his death.

The fire force personnel failed to fish out the body last evening and expert divers were summoned today. They managed to remove the body trapped in sludge.
