Puttur: A woman was severely injured in a collision between two contract carriage buses at Kabaka, Puttur on Friday, June 10.

Sumati (38) of Kamminje lost her right palm in the accident. She was admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

A bus travelling from Mangaluru to Puttur and another bus travelling from Puttur to Mangaluru collided with each other at Polya near Kabaka.

Other passengers survived with minor injuries. Puttur traffic police personnel rushed to the spot and cleared the road with the help of locals.
