Kasaragod: In a shocking incident, miscreants attacked an elderly woman in Delampady, Kasaragod while she was trying to save her daughter from the attack.

Rathna (60) of Kakkeppady, Delampady is the woman injured in the attack. She has been admitted to the Kasaragod general hospital.

According to sources, political rivalry is the reason behind the attack. Rathna’s daughter Sulochana is a worker of Communist Party of India (Marxist). She worked in her constituency supporting the CPM candidate in the assembly elections which took place last month.

A complaint has been registered at Adoor police station regarding the incident.
