Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Lok Sabha Member warned the district administration as well as state government of setting the entire Dakshina Kannada district on fire, if the accused in the murder of Karthik Raj are not nabbed in 10 days time.

Taking part in a silent procession from Suadrshan Nagar in Fajir, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was addressing protestors in front of Konaje Police station on January 1.

“Relentless attacks on Hindus in the district by those infiltrating from Kasargod in Kerala district and cited breakdown in the law and order situation in the district. Communal elements after committing the crime get back to Kerala and only the central home department can tackle the problem ”, MP Nalin said.

He held the local MLAS responsible for the attacks and accused the police of turning a blind eye to the burning issues when none of the senior officials were present at the protest site.

The DK police arresting Hindus involved in ordinary cock fights during religious fairs have failed in nabbing the criminals involved in anti social activities and murders since one year, Nalin alleged.

When a Muslim was killed in Shringeri while transporting cattle,his family was given Rs 20 lakhs compensation where as police are unconcerned in tracing killers involved in the murder of Karthik Raj, Son of former Mangaluru Taluk Panchayath Vice President Umesh Ganiga, Nalin argued.

In case the district police have failed to nab the accused, hence massive protests will be launched after 10 days, MP Nalin warned.

Many local BJP leaders and huge number party supporters took part in the procession and protests.
