Mangalore : K Abhayachandra Jain, newly elected MLA from Moodbidri constituency who has been inducted into the state cabinet, has said he would  sincerely discharge his responsibilities  whichever may be the portfolio assigned to him.

He was speaking to reporters on his arrival at the Bajpe airport to a rousing reception on May 18, Saturday night. Jain said he was thankful to the party leadership for choosing him as an minister and added he had never lobbied but had requested to consider his name  if there was any opportunity.

He said he would work for the overall development of the district with the active co-operation of two other ministers B Ramanatha Rai and UT Khader.

A large number of party workers and leaders were present at the airport and warmly welcomed the new minister.
