Mangalore : A person who was absconding after allegedly killing his wife at their house near the Panjimogaru Jumma Masjid, has surrendered before the police at the Kavoor police station on Thursday July 31 morning.



The accused is Fakeerayya. His wife Manjula was found dead at their house on Wednesday July 30 morning. The couple hailed from Enagi in Koppala district and were construction workers in Mangalore.
The murder came to light when neighbours on not seeing Manjula around as usual in the morning, opened the door which was locked from outside. They saw Manjula lying motionless on the floor with blood from her nose and foam oozing out from her mouth. Her husband was not in sight.
Fakeerayya is learnt to have confessed before the police that he killed his wife in a fit of anger after the two quarrelled under the influence of alcohol.
