Mangaluru: In government hospitals most of the patients are very poor. These hospitals provide free food for the patients but those who stay with the patient have to depend on hotels outside which ends up being very expensive for them. Hereafter, they do not need to worry as Wenlock hospital, in a novel decision, will be providing food for those who stay with the patient as well.
This initiative undertaken by Snehalaya Charitable Trust Manjeshwar in Kasargod will be inaugurated prior to Independence Day on August 14.

“They will be providing only lunch as of now. If they get sponsors they would extend and provide supper too. They would also extend the facility to Government Ladygoshen hospital if they get sponsors who are willing to contribute, said trustee Joseph Crasta.

One sponsor has donated a vehicle for food supply through MLA J R Lobo. All the necessary arrangements have been completed, he added.

The initiative undertaken by Fr George Crasta and 12 members of Snehalaya Trust will be inaugurated by U T Khader in the presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA J R Lobo.
