Mangaluru: Naresh Shenoy, who has been named as the prime accused in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case, has reportedly surrendered in Mangaluru last night on June 23.

According to reliable sources Shenoy who has surrendered to police is now under their custody and is being interrogated.

According to highly placed sources there are possibilities of Shenoy having played an important role in another murder reportedly executed in 2014. However the crucial information pertaining to the same would be confirmed only after his interrogation.

It may be recalled that Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house in Kodialbail on March 21. Police have arrested Vineet Poojary, Nishit Devadiga, Shiva, alias Shivaprasad, and Shailesh (40) including Manjunath Shenoy alias Manju Neereshwalya who is out on bail in connection with this case. Naresh Shenoy has been named the prime accused in the chargesheet filed on June 23.
