Bantwal : A delegation of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bhajrangdal leaders  met Bantwal Circle Inspector of Police on Thursday June 5 and submitted a memorandum to him urging for the arrest of the actual culprits in the case of murder of Rajesh Poojari , a Hindu activist who was killed at the Kalpane autorickshaw park at Benjanapadavu during broad day light.

The memorandum pointed out that behind the scene attempts were presently underway to prove innocent the  accused who have been already arrested. If these attempts succeed, then there may be many more killings in the taluk, the leaders feared  and  urged for the arrest of the  actual culprits who are backing the accused and aiding them.

Circle Inspector Belliappa who accepted the memorandum said investigations are underway.

Ashok Shetty Sarapady, taluk unit President of VHP, Vijeth Tumba, Secretary, Gururaj, Bhajrangdal Convenor, Bhuvith Shetty, Chethan Tumbay, Pranam, Mahesh Ajjibettu, Santosh Sarapady, Dhanaraj, Ashwith, Vivek Raj and others were present.
