Mangalore:The Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) has condemned the Shaadi Bhaagya Scheme introduced by the Govt. of Karnataka saying it is just an attempt to grab the Muslim votes.
Speaking at the press meet held in the city, the Divisional Seva Pramukh of VHP Dr. P Ananthakrishna said ,”that by introducing this scheme only to the Muslim community, the Govt. has neglected the other minority communities. Just because the Muslim community is in large numbers among the minorities in the state, the Govt. has planned to grab their votes.”
Hence the Parishad urges the Govt. to extend this scheme to other communities and respond to their needs as well.
VHP Karnataka province president MB Puranik, Bhajarangdal divisional convener Sharan Pumpwel, VHP District President Jagadish Shenava, Secretary Gopal Kutthar and others were present the occasion.
