Mangalore: The VHP and Bajrang Dal organized a protest reproachfully agitating over the issue of kidnapping, rape, and blackmail of students of Deralakatte Medical College on Tuesday December 24, in front of DC office.

Addressing the protestors, Jagadish Shenava member of Vishwa Hindhu Parishat said, “Today when an innocent girl was kidnapped, forced into sex with a male friend, and threatened for extortion, none of the forums are raising their voice against this issue. The culprits have explicitly performed this heinous crime thus it may be indicated that the group might have indulged in such acts before as well.”

“Police arrested the culprits in 11 hours and produced them in court, wherein it is also assumed that few representatives of the state government had put pressure on the police. A proper probe into this matter is required or the case should be allocated to the CBI”, he added.

Jithendra Kottary, Shivananda Mendon also addressed the agitators during the protestors while Sharan Pumpwell, Gopal Kuthar, and others were present.
