Belthangady : Belthangady MLA K Vasanth Bangera has urged the government to immediately stop the CID investigation into the Sowjanya rape and  murder case which has made no headway.

Addressing the media here on October 24, Thursday, Bangera  blamed the previous BJP government as well as the then Belthangady SI Yogish Kumar for the slow pace of investigation. “The SI had brought bad name on Dharmasthala despite having no pressure,” the MLA alleged.

He said the best solution is to entrust the investigation into the case to the CBI and added he would talk to the CM  on the issue on October 25 and will also hand over a formal letter.

” I am not favouring anyone as MLA  of the constituency but only want justice in the case,” Bangera said.
