Varsha from Puttur joins elite club of top scorers

Puttur: Lot of excitement prevails when results are round the corner. A few students become ecstatic when they cross the finishing line. One such student hails from Puttur town. A student of Ambika Pre-university College, Varsha P has secured 591 out of 600 marks and is the topper from her taluk.

She is the eldest daughter of Ramesh P and Yashodha. Varsha was placed at the 577th position in the prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) on All India basis, based on which she acquired the eligibility to study in Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Her joy had no bounds when she topped her taluk in the PU results declared today and expressed her gratitude to her parents for their support and motivation on her road to success.

“My daughter used to spend little time in studies at home but used to concentrate a lot during classes in school as well as college. She was an achiever from her school days and has continued her stupendous performance at PU level,” says Varsha’s mother Yashodha. She recalled the moment when her daughter was the topper in Puttur taluk in the SSLC examinations in 2014 when she secured 614 out of 625 marks.

Varsha has scored full marks in all subjects except English and Kannada where she has scored 94 and 94 marks respectively. She intends to join IIsc, Bengaluru for her B.Sc degree program.
