Mangalore:Valentine DSouza, has been appointed as  the new city crime branch (CCB) inspector and he will assume charge on September 29. He was the circle inspector of Karkala and will be replacing Venkatesh Prasanna.

He has rendered his service as sub-inspector in Udupi, Kota, Honnavar, Bhatkal and as circle inspector in Bantwal, Terikere, Kundapur, Panambur and Karkala. He has also served as a DCIB inspector in Chikmagalur.

Valentine DSouza hails from Sagar, Shimoga district. He received police training from Mysore academy.  He has won many prizes as a body builder and has also taken part in state and national-level competitions.

He has received Shri Shivappa Nayak award, Shri Pulkeshi award for his service.
