Mangalore: The BJP party members celebrated the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee here on Wednesday December 25.






The celebrations were inaugurated by Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council and former CM D V Sadananda Gowda in the presence of other party members.
Addressing the gathering Gowda said, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister K J George must visit region to get first hand information on various incidents. Alleging that the law and order scenario in the coastal districts has deteriorated, Gowda urged the state government to ensure adequate steps to maintain law and order.
Gowda raised issues such as gang rape of a medical student in Manipal, Underworld elements, activities of the Maoists groups, murder of BJP leader in Ankola and kidnap and blackmailing of two students in Deralakatte.
Further Gowda claimed that such incidents has created immense chaos as well as concern in the region of South Indian, it is high time that leaders must act to put a check to such incidents, he added.
He said Atal Behari Vajpayee who is a man of priniciples is a role model for all the elected representatives. We must follow and strive to work as per his principles, he further added.
