Mangalore: A meeting held at the DC office premises on February 27, Thursday in the presence of US Consul General  Jennifer McIntyre, Monica  Sledjeski, Political and Economic Officer  and Deputy  Commissioner A.B.Ibrahim,  discussed  the issues of opportunity for improving trade and commerce between the two countries and investment prospects.

They discussed issues on simplification of the procedure for processing of visa applications, growth in investment opportunities, industrial and commerce scenario of the district, trade prospects, banking and educational sectors etc.

District Superintendent of Police, Shantanu Sinha, officials from various departments, president and representatives of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and others were present at the meeting.
