Underworld don Rasheed Malbari gets bail

Mangalore : The  First Additional Magistrate of Mangalore has on November 28, Thursday granted bail to   Rasheed Malbari said to be a close aide of notorious underworld dons Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel.

Malbari was an accused in as many as 13 cases  in Mangalore, Bangalore and Mumbai. So far he has secured  bail in a total of three cases in Mangalore and a case in Mangalore. Hearing into nine cases are still pending.

The DCIB Police of Mangalore had arrested him at Chattanchal in Kasargod  on March 29, 2009 along with his associates.

He has been now granted bail in the case of conspiring to kill Harish Rai in 2010 even as he was in the jail. Senior advocate Purushottam Poojari had argued the case for Malbari.
