Agrar (Bantwal) : The first Bishop of Udupi, Dr. Jerald Isaac Lobo was honored at his native church Agrar for the first time, after he was appointed as the Bishop of Udupi.
The ceremony was held after the festive mass, of the feast of church patron Holy Savior.
The Bishop was honored by the vice president of the parish council, Mr. Cyril D’mello, on behalf of the catholic community of the parish.
In prior to the felicitation ceremony, Bishop was the main celebrant of the festive mass of, feast of church patron Holy Savior. The parish priest Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto and all the parish priests of Bantwal deanery accompanied the Bishop as co-celebrants in the holy mass.
The Most Holy Savior church Agrar, having a history of more than 350 years has given birth to four Bishops including the Bishop of Udupi and Bishop of Mangalore. And it was indeed a proud moment to all the parishioners to witness this ceremony.
