Mangaluru: Minutes after CM Siddaramaiah warned of stern action against anti-social elements tearing the social fabric, two youth were stabbed at Adyarkatte on Friday, barely few kilometres away from the venue of the Congress Convention, where the CM was present.

On his arrival in the city, the CM, commenting on continued instances of violence in the region had said that hate mongers will not be spared. However, within few hours, bike borne assailants attacked two others who were plying on a bike. 

Sajid, an engineering student and Naufal were injured in the stabbing incdient. They duo were on their bike, when a three member gang approaced them seeking petrol. When the youth consented to offer petrol, the trio attacked both Sajid and Naufal and fled. 

Sajid suffered stab injuries in hand and abdomen and soon rushed to a private hospital. Police rushed to the spot immediately and the preliminary reports suggest that the incident is linked to drug abuse.
