Bantwal: Two youngsters  were reported drowned in the Karinjeshwara Temple pond, in a tragic incident reported on April 11, Thursday.

The deceased are  Athwin D’Mello, son of Thomas and Arcilla D’Mello  and Roshan Lasrado(17), son of John and Leena Lasrado.
The mishap took place when the two along with  another friend Prakash Veigas, an electrician had been to the pond for a swim in the afternoon.  Sources said both Athwin and Roshan were not good at swimming and were eventually drowned.

Prakash who reached the banks  raised an alarm and the bodies were recovered soon with the help of locals.

The deceased Athwin was a student of KPT in Bantwal and President of ICYM of Farla Church. Roshan was a II PUC student of Deepika College, Modankaup. Bantwal police have registered a case.
