Bangalore:UT Khader, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, has said that the Health Department was planning to introduce a two-wheeler model ambulance as an alternate so that  the ambulance can reach those places which are inaccessible to four wheelers. The new model ambulance will also be able to easily shift patients to hospitals even when there is a traffic blockade.

The Health Minister said so while participating in a  programme  here. Stating that though there were ambulances of different models they were unable to take the patients to  hospitals on time due to traffic snarls, the Minister further added that  the two-wheeler ambulance would certainly be very useful.
