Bantwal: Thunder and lightning hit various parts of Bantwal taluk here on Sunday. Meanwhile in a tragic incident, two persons were injured when they were struck by lightening.

The injured are identified as Mohana and Jayanthi, children of Hinnamma a resident of Bondalapadpu.

The heavy thunder struck their electric metre due to which all the electrical items were burnt to ashes.

The injured have been taken to nearby private hospital.
