Kasargod: Two men were serious injured after a borewell drilling equipment-laden truck toppled over a car at Pilamkatte near Badiyadka on October 2.

Mohammed Kunhi Haji (75) and his son Munir (38), both residents of Pilamkatte Kolari suffered grievous injuries in the incident. Locals took more than an hour to extricate the injured from the crushed car.

The truck carrying heavy equipment parked higher on even land to carryout borewell digging operations suddenly toppled over an Alto car travelling on the adjacent road.

Heavy duty crane was employed to remove the truck. Later fire force personnel from Kasargod, with the assistance from locals, managed to remove the injured from the car by breaking open the doors.

The incident occurred when the father-son duo were on their way to a hospital.

The injured were rushed to the hospital and Badiyadka police have registered a case against the truck driver.
