Kasargod: In a tragic incident, two friends ended life in their rented room, at Kannur on Saturday.

The deceased are Raju (52), a driver in a pick-up van at Alakkodu and his friend Kannan (31), a lottery seller.

Before ending life, Raju had reportedly called his friend Babu Raj and had told him that unable to cope up with health issues and financial crisis, he was killing self.

Immediately, when Babu Raj reached Raju’s house he was missing. But, later Babu Raj found that Raju and Kannan had taken a room on rent at Alakkodu.

When Babu Raj reached the rented house, his phone calls did not evoke any response. After continuously knocking the door, Babu Raj intimated the police.

The dead body of the two was recovered after the police broke open the door.

The two had hanged themselves to the ceiling of the room.
