Mangalore: A goods vehicle carrying plywood sheets toppled on two persons resulting in their death on the spot. The two were waiting at a bus stop near Kudremukh gate at Panambur here on Monday March 31 when the accident took place.





The truck bearing registration number KL 48 E 6401 plying from Mangalore towards Panambur lost control when it reached the bus stop and toppled.
While two individuals died, several others also sustained gruesome injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. The on-lookers claim that the truck driver was speeding the vehicle due to which the accident took place. Moreover the plywood sheets which were in the truck tripped out and fell over the persons waiting at the bus stop.
The identities of the deceased as well as the injured are not revealed however according to the reports it is known that the persons who died were coolie workers.
Panambur police arrived at the spot. The locals helped in moving the plywood sheets.
