Two accused in Right wing activist murder case granted bail

Moodbidri: Two accused in the right wing activist, Prashanth Pojary murder case were granted bail by the High Court on Saturday.
Right wing activist murder: Moodbidri still tense-14Badruddin and Imtiyaz from Gantalkatte were granted bail.

On August 9, 2015, Prashanth Poojary, a flower vendor and a right wing activist was hacked to death by bike borne men. Police had arrested 11 suspects in this connection.

Badruddin was arrested from his house, while Imtiyaz was arrested at the Mumbai airport while he was making a bid to escape to Dubai.

High Court judge Asmath Pasha argued in defence of the accused.

The murder of the right wing activist Prashanth Poojary created a tense situation in the city and several protests followed with rumors that the reason behind the murder was communal hatred.
