Mangaluru: Another Tulu film ‘Soombe’, produced at an estimated cost of Rs 1.10 crore, will be released in the month of January, 2015.

Speaking at the release of audio CD of the film here on Friday, Director Saikrishna Kudla said that the movie will be released simultaneously in Mangaluru, Udupi and Puttur. Mangaluru mayor Mahabala Marla launched the audio in the city.

The film comes under the banner Sri Yajnadhya Productions, and is produced by Kishore Kottari and Shwetha K Kottari. 

The story of the film revolves around a team of Kannada film makers who are shooting a Tulu film. It’s a film within a film, Saikrishna said. There are five songs with different flavours. Gurukiran, Rajesh Krishnen, Nakul, Jogi Sunitha, Supriya Lohith and Mangalorean singers Vismaya Ninayak and Dhananjay Varma have lent their voices to the songs, he said.

Rahul Amin plays the male lead in the film while Srithama Mukherjee plays the female protagonist.
